I`m tall, loud and have a flamboyant sense of style. I have temperament that swings from viciously bitchy to nurturing and supportive.
Music is my life, Ecclectic, Better than yours.
Fashion is also important to me, but then again so is that bottle of vodka in my cupboard.
I like modern art- but i`m not talking about the `5h|t in a can` or `pile of bricks` modern art, i`m talking about real, talented modern artists. Not the elitist idiots at Tate Modern.
And just because I wear makeup, have an interest in fashion it does not make me a raving camp queen.
In this country we ridicule humour and theatrical flamboyance, but appearance is a powerful personal and political statement. Taking your life into your own hands on the nightbus is a serious business. Flamboyance is a threat to society`s thin veneer of reality, and it takes guts and character to oppose the tide of conformity. |
