Though Hamburg appeared a nice city, got to say German food is the worst. Have you ever seen a German restaurant outside Germany? Probably not and no wonder...anywhere where the national dish appears to be a sausage says it all about German food in general! | | | | | Venice | wrote | | | Just got back from a few days in Venice and wow what a beautiful place. There's loads of things to see and even went on a gondola. Only slight downside was the prices of the restaurants, which were fairly pricey, so thank god there was a coop there too! haha. | | | | | Champions League Final | wrote | | | Well was in Athens last week to watch the Liverpool in the Champions League Final and take in a few sites too. The football result was disappointing but guess that's life. The build up before the match was brilliant and the atmosphere created by Reds fans was great. I'd never visited Athens before and found it a really interesting place although we must have taken the English weather with us as it was tipping it down whilst looking around the Acropolis last Thursday - how unlucky was that! | | | | | wrote | | | Just got back from a few days in Dublin - 1st time I'd been and what a great place! Even though the weather was not always the best, there was plenty of stuff to see and do and more importantly the people were just so friendly! I hope to go back there when its a bit warmer and I don't have to dodge the showers! haha | | | | | wrote | | | Saw Guns n Roses last night at Sheffield Hallam Arena and wow they were good. Even though it was just Axl Rose with some new musicians they were really tight musically. It was great to sing along to all the old hits and there was even an epic sounding new song in there too! He maybe in his 40's but he still has that magic quality. Just a pity the support bands Skid Row and Bullet for my valentine (who I thought would be good) were really terrible.
