I have been doing a ton of paper work, emailing people about how to properly fill out the registration forms and seeking out professionals to endorse my application. Also want to thank all the people that answered my messages regarding good places to live once I move. I am certainly looing forward to it. I even think I made a few friends. After talking to some friends from the UK I am seriously thinking about excellerating the time frame in which I go to the UK. I was originally going to work for a bit and then head over. Considering the current difficulties finding work (and knowing I can make good money in the UK as a Social Worker) I am seriously deciding to go within a few months. So I decided to register as a SWK in the UK. Then I look online and find a bunch more jobs here. This is pretty confusing! | | | | | wrote | | | Last night was a lot of fun. I went to my best friend's house to help him put up a new roof. Although I am useless at DYI I was somewhat useful. After driving an hour to get there and playing a blowgun dart game in the back yard I forgot that one of my work friends was having a birthday party. Oops! It was a good laugh last year and I didnt want to miss it. So I drove an hour back, not getting there until near midnight. Went home at 7am. There goes todays run! | | | | | wrote | | | Today was interesting. I turned down a job becuase the pay was appalling compared to my other offers. I felt bad because I like the people and the place but reality (massive student loan repayments) causes me to think otherwise. I then get a call form the other place saying that they really like me and were impressed with my interview but decided on someone else. It was a very tough decision they said. Oh well.
