Falling from unforgiving skies
Flowing like a small river
Over the cheeks
Of the unsuspecting victim
Of unforgiving eyes
A small child
Alone in the dark
The weight of her small world
Rests upon her shoulders
But not so small
Now fully grown
Is this what she dreamt
For when she grew older
And with that
The tears fall
Making small tracks
Through her madeup face.
The face of a woman,
The soul of a child
The confusion of someone lost
