To answer your question - I think men are just easily validated if they send a woman a dick pic and get a positive response. Women don't tend to send as many initially because they don't have to. Guys throw around 'compliments' all the time to profile pics so women don't necessarily need the same level of validation; whereas guys are craving in it all the time!
